It’s not recommended that jewellery is worn when doing sports, cleaning, bathing, sleeping and so forth as they cause unnecessary strain and wear. 

Avoid exposing your jewellery to salt air, sulphur, sprays, chlorine and lotions etc. These will speed up the tarnishing process. Be cautious of salt water and some chemicals which can cause irreversible damage. 

Overtime Sterling silver naturally tarnishes and becomes dull, a quick polish will resolve this.

We recommend polishing your jewellery with a Goddard’s Silver cloth or similar which will give your item a beautiful shine and give protection slowing down the re-tarnishing process.

We do not recommend the use of silver cleaning dips, tumblers etc. These are too harsh and are likely to damage your jewellery. Some cleaning liquids or similar may also be too harsh removing any oxidisation detailing.

It’s recommended that you keep your jewellery in a jewellery box with a soft lining, avoiding contact with crystals and diamonds which are tougher than precious metals therefore have the ability to scratch it. 

The addition of silica pouches ensure that your jewellery box is moisture free therefore inhibiting factors that contribute to tarnishing.

The use of airtight polyethylene ziplock bags are excellent for preventing your jewellery from tarnishing.
